For the highlights (Terracotta Warriors, City Walls, Muslim Quarter, Bell Tower), 3 days is ideal. This gives you one full day for the Warriors (with time to explore properly), plus days for the city center and surrounding sites. If you want to visit the Wild Goose Pagoda, Dayan Tower, or take a day trip to the华山 mountains, add an extra day.
Yes, especially at the Terracotta Warriors. This is China's most visited tourist attraction, with 8+ million visitors annually. Our guides know the optimal visiting times (early morning or late afternoon) and how to avoid the worst crowds. Weekdays are better than weekends.
The Muslim Quarter (回民街) is a fascinating collision of Hui Muslim culture and tourism. You'll find: traditional Muslim restaurants, modern street food vendors, souvenir shops, and the centuries-old Great Mosque (which remains an active place of worship). Come hungry — the food is excellent and ranges from lamb skewers to biang biang noodles.
Yes! The Xi'an City Walls are one of the best-preserved ancient fortifications in China. You can rent bikes at several gates (about $8-10 for 2 hours) and ride the complete 14km circuit, or just a section. Sunrise and sunset rides are magical. Cycling skill level: moderate (some uphill sections).
Very safe. Violent crime is virtually non-existent. The main concerns are petty: overcharging at tourist sites, aggressive souvenir vendors near the Warriors, and pickpockets on crowded buses. Our guides protect you from these issues and ensure you have an enjoyable experience.
